Ten minutes into the future: a shining city of high-rises, greenways and digital displays. Joe sits at a cafe with Ash, the love of his life. A quiet, happy existence is shattered, as a strange man approaches their table, and shoots Ash in the head. Joe, shocked, watches her die. He chases after the stranger, who vanishes. Joe spirals into depression, and decides to end his life.
