In 1966, single-mother Helen Reddy leaves her old life in Australia for New York and stardom, only to find that the industry doesn’t take her seriously. But when ambitious aspiring talent manager Jeff sweeps her off her feet, everything changes as he becomes both her husband and manager. However, her rise to fame and fortune puts pressure on their relationship until Helen decides to break away and take control of her own destiny once again.
