The Song of Names

As a child, Martin Simmonds befriends Dovidl Rapoport, a Polish violin prodigy whose parents leave him in the Simmonds' care before perishing in the Holocaust. The two boys become like brothers, until Dovidl disappears the day he is to make his official debut. Forty years later, Martin finally gets his first clue as to what happened to his childhood best friend.
