Stevie is a lonely 13-year-old, growing up in 1990s Los Angeles with his single mom, who is a part-time prostitute, and his older brother, Ian, who bullies him. But his life improves when he makes friends with older boys at the Motor Avenue skate shop, who teach him about sex, drugs, rock and roll -- and skateboarding.
