The Mis-Education of Joy

The Mis-Education of Joy

Joy Hunter is a Christian who had a disease that should have ended her life at fifteen, but is now in remission. In her first year of college, her Ancient History class is taught by Professor Jim Byrnes, a former believer who is now an atheist and makes students of faith feel uncomfortable. Thirty-something Paul Agard, who is going for his teaching degree, is also in the class, and doesn't hesitate to go head to head with Byrnes in front of the class. When Joy begins to buy into Byrne’s teachings, things start to go wrong for her. Her home life begins to suffer as she and her parents argue about the college and her professor. Her health begins to fail. While talking with Byrnes on the college lawn, Joy passes out and is rushed to the hospital. She refuses to see her parents, but wants to see Jim Byrnes. These two unlikely friends will soon see God in a way they had never expected. Based on true events.
