
The film follows 8-year-old Scout Finch, her brother Jem, and their father Atticus through a three-year period during the Depression in Maycomb, Alabama. Told through Scout's eyes, the story explores class, race relations and childhood, as Atticus, a widower and small-town lawyer defends a young black man who has been accused of raping a white woman. Based on the novel written by Harper Lee.
