Mrs. Miniver

The Miniver family is living an idyllic life in rural England when World War II begins. After their oldest of their three children falls in love and marries, he then enlists as a fighter pilot and his bride moves in with the Minivers. The locals try to maintain their normal lives, but are soon touched by the war in many ways. But when German bombs and firefights destroy much of their village, they display enormous courage in the face of tragedy.
