Lassie Come Home

In Depression-era Yorkshire, England, bad economic times hit the Carraclough family so hard they are forced to sell their beloved Collie Lassie to the wealthy Duke of Rudling, breaking the heart of young Joe Carraclough. When Lassie keeps trying to escape from his new kennels, the Duke ships the dog off to his home hundreds of miles away in Scotland. The Duke's granddaughter Priscilla takes pity on Lassie and helps the Collie escape and embark on an epic trip back to Joe and the only life he ever knew.
